Family Portraits
in Conroe, Texas

We take pride in creating a customized look for you and your family. At home or at a favorite spot — wherever your story lives, imaginLIGHT will capture it.

From young families to big multigenerational gatherings, Jack plans each session around the people in it: how you connect, what you'll wear, and where the portrait will hang. Special sub-groupings are included in every family session, so each family unit, the grandkids, and the grandparents all get their own portraits too.

Why choose imaginLIGHT for family portraits

Sub-groupings included

Siblings, couples, each family unit, grandparents with grandchildren — every family session includes the combinations you want.

At home or on location

Under the oaks, in a field, on a porch or in your own living room — sessions go where your family is most itself.

Portraits for the wall

Session planning includes the room your portrait will hang in, so colors, size and style work together for years.

Talk through who's included, the location, and a color palette so everyone coordinates without matching.

  2. Photograph

Relaxed direction that gets real connection — and patience with little ones, big groups and even the family dog.

  3. Choose

Review your proofs online and order prints and wall portraits for your home and for grandparents.

Family Portraits: questions & answers

Are sub-groupings included in family sessions?

Yes. Special sub-groupings — siblings, couples, each family unit, grandparents with grandchildren — are included in every family session.

What should our family wear?

Pick a palette of three or four colors and dress everyone from it in different combinations. Solid colors and texture work best; avoid logos and small, busy patterns. See the family outfit guide in the Journal.

Can we bring our dog?

Yes — pets are family. Several portraits in the family gallery include dogs. Let Jack know in advance so the session can be planned around them.

Can you photograph a large extended family?

Yes. Large multigenerational groups are photographed on location, with sub-groupings for each branch of the family.
